This style is great for an overnight trip or as a carry on at the airport. It fits through security easily and can be jammed under the seat in front of you, on the airplane. What incredible fabric this is! It is vintage, purchased at an Estate Sale with other 1950 and 1960 fabrics. It is red color, more dark red than cherry red. The fabric is textured and has wrinkles. It is fabulous. The large flap is closed with two vintage buttons and loops. We have reinforced it with heavy and soft interfacing, fully lined it and added a large inside pocket. It is sturdy and beautiful. I have been using a bag like this for six years and it is holding up really well. Great travelling companion!
