  • About us...

We really went "green" in 2008 and plan to continue in 2009.  Our goal is to use only fabric which have had a "prior life" and are repurposed.   We will be adding leather, faux leather and vinyl bags to our line.   You may say, now how is that "green"?  Well, we use fabric, leather, faux leather and vinyl, which would have become land fill.  The fabrics are repurposed.   There are five wonderful upholstery shops in San Francisco, who have given us the fabrics which they would have thrown out.  They have been really generous to us, and their generosity has helped out business grow, become more green and change.   The leather, faux leather and vinyl bags we are making a beautiful.  We will, of course, continue making fabulous fabric bags from vintage, and repurposed upholstery, drapery, clothing and whatever else we can get our hands on!  Our bags continue to be one of a kind, very well made and moderately price.   Hope you enjoy them.

In addition, we are making knitting bags!   We have sold many to wholesale knitting shops in the Bay Area and Portland, Or.   Green is important to knitting shops too!  We will also be exhibiting our bags at the TNNA trade show in San Diego this month.  Wish us luck!  The styles which work well as knitting bags or project bags are Elva, Hattie, Rennie, Sam, Beth, Florence, and Kristi.

We also plan to attend Green Festivals in Seattle, Chicago and San Francisco this year.   The Green Festivals are vibrant, fun, and informational.   I learned so much about our environment, what is sustainable materials and how to use it.   If you have the opportunity to visit a Green Festival, please do.  They are fantastic.
